- And, of course, they`ll never know how the A1200 will sell if it is slashed to
- 199 UK pounds because they can`t run at a loss like that.
-
- I can tell you I would have bought one if it was 199UK pounds. Magic pack or no
- Magic pack (although it would have been nice to have the magic pack! ;)
-
- A lot of people have held off the A1200 simply because of the price. The A1200
- might be old, but it`s not past it if it`s priced sensibly. The first thing I`d
- buy when I got an A1200 would have been to put a Blizzard A1230-IV/8Mb into it.
- Then a HD. All the other 3rd party hardware manufacturers lost out because the
- A100 base unit was simply too expensive.
-
- AT won`t like this, but they`ve got to break this catch 22 by slashing the
- price of the A1200. Lose the Magic pack, to reduce the impact on the few who
- bought the "full price A1200" and think up something else instead.
-
- IMHO, there *is* demand out there for Amigas. Just not at 399 UK pounds.
